Job Responsibilities
- Cut steel, aluminium, titanium, nickel alloys, and other metal raw materials according to customer orders and specifications.
- Operate band saws, cold saws, and other metal-cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Read and follow cutting lists, work instructions, and basic engineering drawings.
- Accurately measure materials using measuring tapes and appropriate measuring instruments.
- Inspect raw materials according to customer and industry requirements.
- Verify material identification, dimensions, quantities, and traceability.
- Review and verify Mill Test Reports (MTRs) and material certificates.
- Load, unload, move, and store raw materials safely.
- Assist with packing, labelling, and warehouse duties.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Follow company quality, safety, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is an advantage.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in metal cutting, quality inspection, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience operating industrial band saws, cold saws, or similar equipment is an advantage.
- Able to read and understand basic engineering drawings and cutting lists.
- Familiarity with aluminium, steel, titanium, nickel alloys, bars, plates, rods, and sheets.
