Japanese translator

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the communication bridge between Japanese and English and Chinese-speaking stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective interactions.
  • Provide real-time Japanese English and Japanese Chinese interpretation during business meetings, presentations, discussions, networking sessions, and event activities.
  • Facilitate accurate communication between Japanese delegates and local stakeholders while addressing cultural and language differences.
  • Assist with the translation of event materials, presentations, and documents as required.
  • Support event organizers and attendees by delivering professional, accurate, and confidential interpretation services.
  • Accompany delegates throughout event activities when language support is needed.

Requirements

  • JLPT N1 or equivalent certificate is a strong advantage.
  • Business to native-level proficiency in Japanese, Chinese and English is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in both Japanese, Chinese and English, with excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to navigate cross-cultural communication effectively.
  • Knowledge on baking and product designs items preferred.
  • Strong attention to details and accuracy in translation work.
  • Willingness to on weekends and public holidays.

Both FT and PT positions are available.
