JOB SUMMARY:

The Part-Time Specialist – Centre Management System Support is responsible for the daily operations, maintenance and upkeep of exhibits, AV equipment, facilities and essential services across Defence Collective Singapore (DCS) centres/museums, ensuring a safe, functional and comfortable environment for employees and visitors.

Subject to performance assessment and suitability, the role may offer an opportunity for conversion to full-time employment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform daily startup and shutdown of facilities, exhibits, attractions and projection systems.
Carry out routine maintenance and repairs of plumbing, electrical, AV, HVAC, mechanical and exhibition equipment.
Monitor building systems, including fire protection and security systems, to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
Coordinate and supervise contractors and service providers (e.g. cleaning, landscaping, pest control, car park and security), ensuring work meets DCS standards and safety requirements.
Set up AV systems, furniture and equipment for events and organised visits.
Monitor maintenance inventory, recommend replenishment of critical spares and consumables, and support facilities improvement projects.
Respond to emergencies, equipment failures and facility-related incidents to minimise risks and operational disruptions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

N/O-Level, NITEC or relevant professional certificate.
Preferably 1 year of relevant experience; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Able to work independently, under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Familiarity with CMMS or facilities management software is an advantage.
Physically fit and able to perform manual work, including prolonged standing, frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling and lifting.
Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
