Torikami is looking for energetic and dedicated Kitchen Crew members to join our
growing team. As a Kitchen Crew member, you will play a vital role in supporting our
chefs and ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless dining experience. This is a
fantastic opportunity for those who want to learn the foundations of Japanese cuisine
in a professional, fast-paced environment.
Location and Schedule
Work Location: Maxwell
Work Schedule: 5.5-days (44-hour) work week (Shift-based)
Key Responsibilities
- Food Prep: Assist Head Chefs and Sous Chefs with daily ingredient
preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting vegetables, and basic meat
preparation.
- Skewering Support: Learn and assist in the traditional "Kushi-uchi"
(skewering) process under the guidance of our Yakitori Chefs.
- Station Maintenance: Ensure the kitchen stations are well-stocked, organized,
and clean throughout the service.
- Dishwashing & Hygiene: Operate the dishwasher and maintain high standards
of cleanliness in the kitchen area in accordance with SFA guidelines.
- Ad-hoc Duties: Support the Sous Chef with inventory receiving and general
kitchen tasks.
Requirements
- Mindset: A strong desire to learn authentic Yakitori techniques. High attention
to detail and a "Kaizen" (continuous improvement) attitude.
- Team Player: Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while
maintaining a positive and team-oriented attitude.
- Commitment: Punctual, disciplined, and passionate about the culinary arts.
Good to have
- Experience working in the F&B industry, including a Japanese restaurant
- Basic Food & Hygiene Certified
