Summary
The Duty Manager oversees ramp and baggage operations on a shift basis, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective service delivery while meeting operational, customer service, regulatory, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage manpower, equipment, and operational resources to achieve KPIs, SLAs, and service standards.
- Respond to operational disruptions and implement recovery plans to maintain service continuity.
- Monitor operational performance, safety, security, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Act as the primary on-shift contact for airline customers and operational stakeholders.
- Lead, coach, and support operational teams to drive performance and staff engagement.
- Manage overtime, resource utilization, and revenue-generating activities to meet financial targets.
- Promote a strong safety culture, conduct incident investigations, and implement corrective actions.
- Perform quality audits and ensure compliance with SOPs, service standards, and regulations.
- Collaborate with airport authorities, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
- Support crisis management and emergency response activities.
Requirements
- Diploma from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in airport, aviation, or ground handling operations.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of airport operations, safety, and service delivery.
- Proven leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work shifts in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Eligible to obtain an Airfield Driving Permit (ADP).
