Assistant Warehouse Supervisor (FMCG Distribution)
Role Overview
- Support daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced FMCG environment
- Ensure inventory accuracy, efficient fulfillment, and FIFO/FEFO compliance
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Supervise inbound, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch
- Ensure FIFO / FEFO adherence
- Handle expiry- and temperature-sensitive goods
- Coordinate with 3PL (if applicable)
Inventory Control
- Perform cycle counts and stock checks
- Track batch, expiry, and stock movement
- Investigate discrepancies, damages, near-expiry items
- Support stock rotation and clearance
Order Fulfillment
- Ensure timely and accurate order picking
- Prioritize urgent/high-volume orders
- Coordinate with logistics for dispatch
- Minimize errors and delays
Team Supervision
- Lead warehouse staff and assign tasks
- Monitor productivity and performance
- Train on SOPs, hygiene, and handling standards
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure SFA / regulatory compliance (if applicable)
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Prepare for audits and inspections
Systems & Reporting
- Update WMS and maintain records
- Prepare stock and operational reports
Requirements
- Diploma / Nitec in relevant field
- 2–5 years FMCG warehouse experience
- Knowledge of FIFO / FEFO
- WMS familiarity; forklift license preferred
Key Skills
- Inventory control & accuracy
- Team leadership
- Attention to detail (expiry/batch)
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Forklift license is a must
