Job Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and carbon steel components.
- Weld sheet metal parts, frames, covers, brackets and fabricated assemblies.
- Read and follow engineering drawings and welding specifications.
- Set up welding equipment and adjust welding parameters according to material and thickness.
- Carry out fitting, alignment, clamping and tack welding.

Perform TIG welding on different metal components and assemblies.
- Control welding heat and sequence to minimize distortion.
- Conduct visual checks and basic finishing such as grinding and blending.
- Perform repair and rework when required.
- Maintain welding equipment, tools and work area in good condition.
- Follow safety, quality and workplace procedures.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of TIG welding experience.
- Hands-on experience with stainless steel and carbon steel.
- Experience with thin sheet-metal welding is an advantage.
- Able to set welding parameters independently.
- Familiar with filler materials, shielding gases and tungsten selection.
- Able to read basic engineering drawings and welding symbols.
- Basic knowledge of welding distortion and control methods.
- Able to use common measuring tools such as Vernier calipers, measuring tapes and gauges.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred
- NITEC, technical certificate, diploma or equivalent in Welding/Metal Fabrication.
- TIG welding certification is an advantage.
- Experience in precision fabrication or sheet-metal manufacturing is preferred.
