Wildlings runs outdoor play, birthday parties and Forest School programmes for children at Dempsey and West Coast Park from our own private nature spaces. We are hiring part time weekend Party Hosts and Play Workers on employment contracts.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Host children's birthday parties: run the games, crafts and activities, keep the group moving, make sure the birthday child has a brilliant day
- Supervise drop-in Nature Playtime sessions
- Set up and pack down activities, equipment and play spaces
- Keep children safe and keep parents in the picture
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- You enjoy working with children and are comfortable leading a group of them
- Warm, energetic and happy to be the one at the front
- Fit to work outdoors in heat and rain
- Available Saturdays and / or Sundays
- Fast learner.
- Experience with children is essential. We train you in the rest.
- Reliability, maturity, a sense of responsibility: in a customer facing role where a child's birthday party is on the line, we need you to show up for work.
HOURS
Hours follow bookings, so they vary slightly week to week:
- 8.00am to 12.30pm (morning shift)
- 1.30pm to 6.00pm (afternoon shift)
- Full day 8.30am to 6.00pm with 1 hour paid lunch
PAY AND BENEFITS
- Starting $18 (junior) to $33 (experienced) per hour
- Sunday shifts paid 20% more
- CPF contributions
- Pro-rated leave and other statutory benefits
- Paid training, including outdoor and Forest School training
- Progression into senior host and lead educator roles
