Junior Business Development Manager
Job Description
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for the company’s catering and food service operations.
- Source potential clients through market research, networking, cold calls and business enquiries.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
- Understand clients’ requirements and work with internal teams to propose suitable services.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, presentations and tender documents.
- Arrange and attend client meetings, site visits and sales presentations.
- Support contract negotiations and follow up on proposals to secure new business.
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure a smooth handover of new accounts.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer feedback.
- Maintain accurate sales records and provide regular updates on leads, sales activities and progress towards targets.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Preferably 1–2 years of experience in business development, sales or account management.
- Experience in catering, food and beverage, or food service operations is an advantage.
- Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Able to prepare clear business proposals and quotations.
- Proactive, organised and comfortable approaching prospective clients.
- Able to work independently and collaborate with internal teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Willing to travel locally for client meetings and site visits.
