Therapy Assistant (5 days office hours | Up to $3000 | Entry Level) #HGN
Job Responsibilities:
* Screen patients for risk factors associated with diabetic foot conditions and determine the corresponding risk level.
* Recognise diabetic foot conditions and refer patients to the doctor / podiatrist for further management.
* Provide education on diabetic foot care to patients and/or caregivers.
* Maintain clear documentation of diabetic foot screening results.
* Adhere to legal, ethical, professional, departmental and organisational policies, including good infection control practices.
* Participate in activities that promote awareness of Podiatry services.
Requirements:
- Minimum N/O/A level
- WSQ Higher Certificate in Therapy Services would be an advantage.
- Service-oriented with good listening and interpersonal skills.
- Good time management skills.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Comfortable performing hands-on diabetic foot screening, including contact with patients’ feet that may have wounds, blood or strong odors.
- Willing to travel between different clinics in the West.
- Able to commit to contract duration: 1 year, renewable.
