Chin Mee Chin Bakery, a beloved heritage Hainanese kopitiam, is hiring at NEX and looking for a Server / Traditional Beverage Maker to join our team. You'll serve guests on the floor and prepare traditional Singaporean coffee and tea — kopi and teh — the authentic way, helping bring the heritage flavours and warmth of Chin Mee Chin to a new generation of guests.
What You'll Do
- Prepare traditional kopi and teh using traditional methods and recipes (e.g. kopi-O, kopi-C, teh-O, teh-C, and other variations), consistent with Chin Mee Chin's heritage standards
- Take orders and serve food and beverages promptly and accurately
- Greet guests warmly and attend to their needs throughout their visit
- Set up and maintain the beverage station, ensuring cleanliness and proper stock levels
- Clear and reset tables, keeping the dining area clean and welcoming
- Uphold food safety and hygiene standards at all times
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience as a server, barista, or traditional beverage maker preferred; candidates with a genuine interest in Singapore's kopitiam culture and no experience are welcome to apply — training will be provided
- Friendly, warm, and guest-focused attitude
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills; conversational English and/or Mandarin/dialect a plus, given our heritage clientele
- Willing to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays
Work Schedule
- Confirm: 5-day work week, 44 hours/week. Overtime pay for hours beyond 44/week
