Role Overview & Responsibilities
Assist the Production Manager in the day-to-day operations of the production lines.
- Production Management: Monitor daily schedules, meet output goals, and track throughput or key performance indicators (KPIs). Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects. Responsible for developing staff rosters and reassigning personnel to manage unplanned absences and coverage gaps
- Quality & Safety: Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety standard operating procedures (SOPs), and conduct product inspections.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform basic machine cleaning and preventive maintenance, Troubleshoot machine issues and coordinate with outsource maintenance technicians when necessary, Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping around machines and work areas. Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and coach operators or logistics staff.Trains, motivates and guides subordinates, maintains discipline among the operatives and provides input to their performance appraisals.
- Process Improvement: Apply LEAN, 5S, or Kaizen principles to reduce downtime and material waste.
Requirement:
- 5 years' experience supervisor role.
- Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics.
- Able to communicate with blue collar from China, India and Malaysia.
- Advanced skills in MS Office.
