Receiving Officer
Industry: Hospitality
Working Location: Orchard Road Working Hours: 44 hours, 5 days work week, Monday- friday (selected saturdays)
Job Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Check quantities, quality and condition of deliveries, and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Record incoming and outgoing goods accurately in the hotel/inventory system.
- Support stock counts, inventory audits and stock level monitoring.
- Ensure goods are properly stored, organised and distributed to the relevant departments.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery notes, invoices and inventory documentation.
- Liaise with suppliers, procurement and internal departments to ensure smooth deliveries.
- Ensure receiving and storage areas are clean, safe and organised.
- Follow company procedures relating to procurement, inventory control, hygiene and safety.
Requirements
- Previous experience in receiving, storekeeping or inventory control is preferred.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with inventory/stock management systems.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and comfortable handling goods and deliveries.
- Responsible, positive and reliable attitude.
