Ramp Manager

Summary

The Ramp Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of ramp operations and aircraft turnaround activities, ensuring safe, efficient and punctual service delivery in compliance with operational and safety standards. The role supports the Head of Ramp and is accountable for frontline ramp performance.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage daily ramp operations, including aircraft loading/unloading, pushback, towing, marshalling and servicing.
• Ensure adequate manpower and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to meet operational requirements.
• Monitor aircraft turnaround performance and OTP, coordinate recovery plans for delays and escalate major issues.
• Ensure compliance with ramp procedures and safety standards; conduct inspections, investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Lead Duty Managers, Supervisors and frontline teams, including rostering, attendance, productivity, performance and development.
• Monitor GSE availability, utilisation, maintenance and safe operation.
• Coordinate with airlines, Baggage Operations, OCC and airport stakeholders.
• Drive improvements in safety, productivity, turnaround performance and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Aviation, Logistics, Operations, Business or related discipline.
• 5–10 years’ airport ramp experience, including 2–5 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong experience in aircraft turnaround, ramp safety, GSE and frontline operations.
• Able to work in a 24/7 outdoor airside environment, rotating shifts, weekends/public holidays, and support disruptions or emergencies.
• Valid Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence and ability to obtain/maintain ADP and Airport Pass.
• Knowledge of aircraft handling, loading/unloading, marshalling, pushback/towing, weight and balance, AHM, IGOM, ISAGO, CAAS and CAG requirements.
• Strong leadership, planning, stakeholder management, problem-solving and IRROPS decision-making skills.
• Relevant aviation, safety or Train-the-Trainer certifications are advantageous.
