Job Summary
The Warehouse Assistant supports smooth warehouse operations by handling daily inventory and logistics activities. This role involves receiving, storing, and issuing goods accurately while coordinating with the warehouse, procurement, and delivery teams. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Pick and prepare stocks according to Picking Lists, ensuring accuracy and submitting completed documents to Customer Service.
Follow FEFO (First Expired, First Out) and FIFO (First In, First Out) principles during stock picking and replenishment.
Verify stocks against Packing Lists, Delivery Orders (DO), and Invoices, and sign off upon completion.
Identify, segregate, and report damaged or expired products. Such products must not be released for sale.
Report products with less than 3 months of remaining shelf life.
Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards within the warehouse, pantry, and rest areas.
Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as reach trucks and pallet jacks safely and responsibly.
Requirements
·Minimum secondary education or equivalent.
· Experience in warehouse, central kitchen, or food manufacturing environment is preferred.
· Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and GMP requirements.
· Familiar with FIFO / FEFO and proper stock rotation practices.
· Experience handling raw materials, packaging materials, and finished food products.
· Able to work in cold room or temperature-controlled environments.
· Physically fit to perform loading, unloading, and lifting of goods.
· Able to follow SOPs, safety regulations, and cleanliness standards.
· Basic inventory control and record-keeping skills.
· Basic computer skills (inventory system, Excel, or scanning) are an advantage.
· Good teamwork and communication skills.
· Willing to work shifts, weekends, and overtime when required.
