Founded by Chef-Owner Dave Pynt, Burnt Ends is a modern Australian barbecue restaurant based in Dempsey Hill, Singapore. Known for our wood-fired kitchen, boutique wines, and fun, relaxed atmosphere, we serve a daily-changing menu using the best available produce.
Job Responsibilities:
- Mix and proof dough for a range of bread products
- Shape and score dough to create artisanal breads
- Operate ovens and baking equipment to achieve perfect crust and crumb
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to develop new recipes and improve existing ones
- Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a bakery or bread-making environment
- Knowledge of bread-making techniques, including fermentation and proofing
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Food safety certification (e.g. WSQ Food Hygiene Certification)
- Comfortable with odd hour shifts (10pm-8am)
- Punctual and well disciplined
- 5 day work week (44hrs per week)
Nice To have:
- Baking certification or diploma
- Experience with sourdough or artisanal bread-making
- Knowledge of local and international bread styles
