Key Responsibilities & Job Scope
Punctuality & Reliability:
- Report to the warehouse on time daily to ensure the delivery schedule remains on track.
Loading & Inventory Accuracy:
- Load and unload goods according to the provided invoices. You are responsible for double-checking that the physical stock matches the paperwork exactly before departure.
Route Planning:
- Strategically plan your delivery route to maximize efficiency and meet specific customer time windows.
On-Time Delivery:
- Ensure all items are delivered to customers promptly as requested, maintaining a professional and helpful attitude during drop-offs.
Cash Collection:
- Handle cash or cheque collection from customers upon delivery. You will be responsible for the safe keeping and accurate reconciliation of all payments at the end of the shift.
Vehicle Maintenance:
- Keep the company lorry clean (interior and exterior) and perform basic daily checks (oil, water, tires). Report any mechanical issues or required servicing to management immediately.
Documentation:
- Ensure all delivery notes and invoices are signed by customers and returned to the office daily.
