We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage project costing, tendering and commercial matters for structural steel and metalworks projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), budgets and tender submissions.
- Review drawings, specifications and contracts to assess project costs and risks.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and measurements for structural steel and metalwork packages.
- Manage variations, progress claims, payments, cost control and final accounts.
- Evaluate and negotiate quotations with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project budgets, expenditures and contractual obligations.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on commercial matters.
- Prepare cost reports and provide commercial updates to management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience.
- Experience in structural steel, metalworks or steel fabrication will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of costing, tendering, quantity measurement, contract administration and variation claims.
- Familiarity with Singapore construction practices and contracts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and QS software.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple projects and negotiate effectively.
