Job Summary
Join our airport ground handling team as a Baggage Handler, ensuring passengers' luggage is loaded, unloaded and transferred safely and on time. Job Description
- Load, unload and sort baggage and cargo to and from aircraft, conveyor systems and baggage carts, following safety and handling procedures.
- Operate airside equipment such as baggage tractors, dollies and belt loaders, where trained and certified.
- Check baggage tags and destinations carefully to ensure accurate routing, and report damaged, delayed or suspicious items promptly.
- Comply with airport security, workplace safety and health regulations, and work closely with ground crew, supervisors and airline staff to meet flight schedules.
Job Requirements
- Able to perform the physical duties of the role, including lifting and handling baggage, with reasonable workplace adjustments considered where appropriate.
- Willing to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays, with rostering that supports work-life balance.
- Able to obtain an airport pass and clear the required security screening; a relevant driving licence or equipment certification is an advantage.
- Good communication skills in English, strong attention to detail, and a responsible, team-oriented attitude. Prior experience is welcome but not essential, as training will be provided.
