About us
Youthline is a charitable organization dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of youth with mental health struggles. We are looking for enthusiastic and confident Telemarketers to join our fundraising team and help us connect with potential donors to raise awareness about our work and support our charitable initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Make outbound telephone calls to prospective and existing donors to introduce our charity, campaigns and fundraising initiatives.
- Communicate the charity's mission, programmes and impact in a clear, engaging and persuasive manner.
- Encourage potential donors to support our fundraising campaigns.
- Build positive relationships with potential donors through professional, courteous and empathetic communication.
- Follow up with interested individuals and maintain accurate records of calls, responses and fundraising outcomes.
- Work towards agreed fundraising targets and key performance indicators.
- Handle questions, concerns and objections professionally.
Requirements
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident, persuasive and comfortable speaking with people over the telephone.
- Positive attitude, self-motivation and a willingness to learn.
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively in a home-based environment.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet space to make calls.
- Comfortable working towards performance targets.
- Previous experience in tele sales, telemarketing, customer service, fundraising or call centres is an advantage, but not essential.
