Position Title: Standby Adhoc Tea Lady / Pantry Assistant
Working Hours : 7am to 5pm (1 hr break, not paid)
Salary $16 per hr
Role Summary
The Pantry Lady is responsible for ensuring the office pantry is well-maintained and that beverages and refreshments are prepared and served to staff and guests in a timely and professional manner. The role contributes to maintaining a clean, welcoming, and efficient workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve tea, coffee, and other beverages to staff and visitors.
- Ensure pantry, meeting rooms, and refreshment areas are clean, tidy, and well-stocked at all times.
- Manage pantry inventory: track consumption, request replenishment, and restock supplies (beverages, snacks, utensils, crockery, etc.).
- Wash, clean, and store pantry items (cups, plates, cutlery, etc.) hygienically.
- Assist in setting up beverages and light refreshments for internal meetings, trainings, and events.
- Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain hygiene standards in the pantry and refreshment areas.
- Support ad-hoc office errands or tasks assigned by the Office Manager/Facilities team.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Tea Lady, Pantry Assistant, or in a similar hospitality role preferred.
- Basic knowledge of pantry equipment (coffee machine, kettle, water dispenser, etc.).
- Good hygiene practices and attention to cleanliness.
- Friendly, courteous, and service-oriented demeanor.
- Ability to communicate in basic English.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to manage time efficiently.
Working Conditions
- With flexibility to support meetings/events when required.
- Physical role involving standing, walking, carrying supplies, and cleaning tasks.
