Job Summary
Responsible for identifying and selecting products that meet customer needs and market trends. The role involves researching new products, working with suppliers, analyzing sales performance, and developing a product assortment that drives business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate new products based on market trends and customer demand.
- Identify emerging trends and recommend new product opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate product offerings.
- Develop and manage the product assortment for assigned categories.
- Monitor product performance and recommend additions or discontinuations.
- Conduct competitor and market research to stay ahead of industry trends.
- Work closely with marketing and operations teams to support product launches and promotions.
- Ensure product information and pricing are accurate.
Requirements
- Candidates with experience in merchandise planning, retail operations, inventory management and e-commerce is preferred
- Strong commercial awareness and interest in consumer trends.
- Good negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable analyzing sales data.
