Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals for residents and employees according to established recipes and guidelines.
Prepare meals for residents with special dietary or therapeutic requirements.
Ensure proper storage of food items at appropriate temperatures.
Ensure food items are correctly labelled and expiry dates are monitored and adhered to.
Assist in the preparation and timely distribution of meals.
Support menu planning and meal preparation activities.
Minimise food wastage through proper portion control and food storage practices.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
Comply with food safety and workplace safety procedures at all times.
Clean and perform basic maintenance of kitchen equipment, workstations, and utensils.
Dispose of waste in accordance with hygiene and safety guidelines.

Requirements

Secondary education or equivalent qualification.
Possess a valid WSQ Food Safety & Hygiene certification or equivalent.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in food preparation and cooking.
