Job Description
We are looking for a hardworking and responsible Kitchen Assistant to join our Chinese restaurant kitchen team. The successful candidate will assist chefs with daily food preparation, kitchen operations and general cleaning duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with daily food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting and preparing ingredients.
- Clean and prepare seafood, vegetables, meat and other ingredients as required.
- Assist with kitchen operations, including preparing seasonings, arranging ingredients and supporting food plating.
- Collect, organise and replenish kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, refrigerators, workstations and storage areas.
- Perform general kitchen cleaning duties, including washing pots, mopping floors and disposing of waste.
- Carry out other kitchen duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Supervisor.
Job Requirements
- No experience required; training will be provided.
- Previous experience in a Chinese restaurant kitchen is an advantage.
- Hardworking, responsible and willing to learn.
- Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Able to work well in a team and follow instructions.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
