Culina is a leading purveyor of specialist epicurean foods and wines, a choice distributor to hotels, restaurants and cafes in Singapore. Culina runs a Bistro and Gourmet boutique, an Organic retail store SuperNature in Dempsey, as well as a chain of butcheries in major supermarkets island-wide.
Job Summary:
The role of Retail Sales Assistant is responsible for creating a positive shopping experience for customers, helping customers with their orders, offering product information, making recommendations and assisting in daily store operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing quality customer service at deli counter, raw and ready-to-eat (RTE) food counter, attending to customers’ queries, making good recommendations and responding to requests promptly and politely.
- Slicing, weighing, packaging, pricing meats, hot deli, ham etc.
- Promoting current sales, promotions and drive sales.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work areas by cleaning surfaces, equipment, food trays, floors, removing rubbish etc.
- Restocking and displaying safe quality meat products and delicatessens for consumers’ selection. Ensure that all display of products and services comply with Company standard or SOP.
- Assisting in inventory management tasks, including receiving goods, conducting stock counts and replenishing low stock.
- Handling meat products by following food safety and sanitation procedures and regulations established by Company and government agencies.
Requirements:
- GCE 'O' Level certificate / NITEC in Retail Services, or any relevant certificates
- Able to read and understand product labels in English
- Holds Food Safety/Hygiene Certificate, good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Good team player & able to work independently without close supervision
- Able to stand for extended periods in a retail aircon environment
Work Hours:
- Required to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- 6-day work week
- AM Shift: 7am - 3pm
- PM Shift: 2pm - 10pm
