We are Stinky Durian Desserts (www.stinky.com.sg), we are looking for any bakers with the passion and fire to run their own durian based bakery here in Singapore. We are a established brand hand crafting Durian Desserts, under our flagship Durian brand 99 OLD TREES our main business, as Durian wholesalers and retailers.
Roles & Responsibilities
Description
• Assist the Senior Pastry Chef in the operation of the pastry/bakery department and responsible for the proper efficiency and profit functioning
• Organize and supervise the work of Assistant Bakers, able to Train and bring knowledge through experience
• Prepare staff duty roster and job assignment where required
• Comfortable working with the "KING OF FRUITS"
• Adhere to the company’s standards in food hygiene and safety practices in the kitchen area
• Assist in the preparation and production of the company’s products (baking and decorating of cupcakes, whole cakes and/or cookies, tarts, choux pastry preparation of ingredients, setting up of baking utensils and equipment, & packing the products for delivery)
• Determine with the Senior Pastry Chef on the quality and quantity of food material to be purchased and prepared for all menus
• Maintain a proper food costing on all merchandise utilized to minimize food wastage
• Ensure that the pastry/bakery department and facilities are conformed to sanitary regulations and baking equipment and refrigerator are properly kept and cleaned
• Ensure proper storage of all perishable material accordingly to the First-in-First-Out Policy
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Job Requirements
• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Pastry and Baking
• Fresh Graduates welcomed to Apply
• Singaporeans/PR Preferred to Apply
• Able to learn and adapt swiftly
• Must be able to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays, if called upon
• 5 days work week (8am-5pm)
• Salary $2500-$3300/mth depending on experience.
