About the Role
Our client operates one of Singapore's busiest container terminals. This is a full-time position offering an attractive salary package of up to $4.5K monthly plus a joining bonus of up to $16K. As a Prime Mover Operator (Container Trucking Master), you will operate prime mover vehicles to transport containers between the wharf and yard within the PSA terminal.
Full training is provided — this role is open to candidates holding a Class 3A licence and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate prime mover vehicles to transport containers from wharf to yard and vice versa within the PSA container terminal
- Conduct pre-operation and post-operation vehicle checks before and after each shift
- Comply with all PSA traffic and safety rules, procedures, and terminal operating systems
- Mount and dismount containers safely using correct procedures
- Communicate with operational groups and respond to instructions from the control centre
- Operate the prime mover's onboard PC system to track and record container movements
- Refuel the prime mover and prepare the vehicle for shift handover
- Ensure goods are loaded and secured onto the vehicle before moving off
- Verify correct container numbers before loading
- Ensure on-time point-to-point delivery of containers
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and hygiene
- Report any damages or incidents to superiors promptly
- Attend toolbox briefings prior to the commencement of each shift
- Comply with all Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) standards and company SOPs
Requirements
- Minimum Class 3A driving licence (Class 3 or 4 also accepted)
- Minimum PSLE qualification with a pass in English
- Able to commit to a minimum of 22 workdays per month on rotating 12-hour shifts (7:30 AM/PM start)
- Willing and able to work outdoors, including night, weekend, and public holiday shifts
