ACMV Technician
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on ACMV systems and related equipment.
- Inspect and maintain air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation equipment to ensure reliable operation.
- Troubleshoot ACMV system faults and identify the cause of equipment breakdowns.
- Carry out repair and rectification works, including replacement of faulty components where required.
- Respond promptly to ACMV faults, complaints and maintenance requests.
- Monitor repair works and provide progress updates to the relevant supervisor.
- Perform routine checks and servicing of equipment according to maintenance schedules.
- Support ad-hoc repair and maintenance activities when required.
- Ensure maintenance activities are performed in accordance with workplace safety and health requirements.
- Maintain tools and equipment properly and ensure good housekeeping within work areas.
- Perform other related maintenance duties as assigned.
Requirements
- NITEC in ACMV, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience; or
- Diploma in ACMV, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with at least 3 years of relevant experience; or
- Candidates holding a BCA-accredited SEC / CoreTrade trade certificate in ACMV or Mechanical works should have at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Good hands-on experience in ACMV maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
- Good understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Strong safety awareness with good WSH practices.
- Willing to perform shift work when required.
