Job Summary

Manage comprehensive accounting functions including accounts receivable/payable, budgeting, auditing liaison, and statutory filings to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable to maintain accurate financial records and cash flow
Handle petty cash transactions ensuring proper documentation and control
Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts to support financial planning and decision-making
Generate variance reports on profit & loss and cash flow to identify financial trends and discrepancies
Liaise with external auditors, statutory bodies and company secretary to facilitate audits and compliance requirements
Manage the general ledger and perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial statements
Maintain proper documentation and bookkeeping for day-to-day accounting operations
Prepare and file external statutory returns including Corporate Tax and GST compliance to meet regulatory obligations
Lead and supervise junior accounting staff to ensure effective team performance and development
Execute other projects and ad-hoc duties as assigned to support business needs

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or equivalent
At least 5 years of relevant working experience
Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to perform routine and non-routine accounting duties independently following sound accounting principles
Knowledge in AutoCount accounting system will be advantageous

Other Requirements:

Effectively bilingual in English and Chinese/Mandarin to handle chinese-speaking suppliers/customers
Willing and able to work in Jurong area (near to Boon Lay MRT)
