Job Summary
You will prepare and serve drinks, engage with customers, and maintain a clean, safe bar environment while ensuring compliance with legal and health standards.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide drink recommendations to enhance their experience
- Verify customer identification to ensure legal age for alcohol purchase
- Take drink orders accurately from serving staff or customers directly
- Inform customers about new beverages and current specials to promote sales
- Select and mix drink ingredients, including peeling, slicing, and pitting fruit for garnishes
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to maintain stock availability
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene policies to ensure a safe environment
- Maintain cleanliness of the work and dining areas by removing trash, cleaning counters, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment
- Resolve minor customer complaints independently to maintain service quality
Required competencies and certifications
- Past bartending experience to perform core drink preparation and customer service tasks
- Ability to work on a shift basis, 5 days per week, to meet operational needs
- Foods Safety & Hygiene certificate (if applicable)
