About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and passionate Management Trainee – Kitchen to develop into a future leader within our Japanese Fine Dining kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and support daily kitchen operations.
- Learn Japanese cuisine preparation and kitchen standards.
- Monitor food quality and consistency.
- Assist with stock control, inventory management and ordering.
- Monitor food wastage and support cost-control initiatives.
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards are maintained.
- Assist with kitchen manpower deployment and coordination.
- Support chefs and supervisors during busy service periods.
- Learn kitchen administration and operational procedures.
- Take on increasing responsibilities as part of the management development programme.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Food & Beverage Management or a related discipline is preferred.
- Fresh graduates and candidates with relevant kitchen experience are welcome.
- Strong interest in Japanese cuisine and kitchen operations.
- Passionate about food quality and presentation.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Positive attitude with strong leadership potential.
- Willing to learn and work hands-on in a professional kitchen environment.
- Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
