Healthcare Assistant (Sterile Unit)

1 year contract (renewable)
5 Days Work Week
Morning shifts (7am - 4pm / 8am - 5pm)
Afternoon shifts (12pm - 9pm / 12:30pm - 9:30pm)
Night shifts (9pm - 7.30am / 9pm - 8am)
Salary up to $2,400
Responsibilities
- Rinse all soiled surgical supplies and equipment and prepare them for mechanical cleaning.
- Assist in the assembling of simple instrument sets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure that all sterilized goods after sterilization are placed on the correct shelves, maintaining proper organization and inventory control.
- Load and unload supplies and equipment from terminal sterilizers, following proper procedures to prevent contamination.
- Clean identified sterilizers and sterile processing equipment according to established protocols.
- Empty and bag up all pathological and general waste at the preparation, packing, and decontamination areas, adhering to Waste Disposal guidelines.
- Clear and bag up dirty laundry and transport it to the disposal area following hospital practices, while maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in the department at all times.
- Perform portering duties as needed, assisting with the transport of supplies, equipment, and other materials within the facility.
- Complete any other duties as assigned by the department-in-charge, contributing to the smooth operation of the sterile processing department.
Requirements
- Min PSLE certifcate preferable with relevant or warehousing experiences.
- Willing to work rotating shifts
- Able to wear PPE throughout the work shift
- Able to carry heavy things up to 10kg
- Willing to work in a non airconditioned environment.
