Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of Western dishes according to recipes and company standards.
- Ensure food is prepared consistently in terms of taste, quality, presentation and portion size.
- Handle food preparation, cooking, plating and service efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety.
- Monitor food quality, freshness and storage conditions.
- Assist with stock control, including checking deliveries and minimising food wastage.
- Ensure proper food labelling, storage and FIFO practices.
- Work closely with the kitchen and service team to ensure smooth operations.
- Support menu preparation and contribute ideas for improving dishes where required.
- Train and guide junior kitchen team members when necessary.
- Assist with daily kitchen opening and closing duties.
- Comply with all company policies and Singapore food safety requirements.
Requirements
- At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in Western cuisine.
- Experience working in a restaurant, hotel, café, airport or commercial kitchen is preferred.
- Knowledge of Western cooking techniques and food preparation.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Food hygiene certification is an advantage.
