ABOUT THE ROLE
JING is an elevated hotpot and grill buffet at KINEX, where every diner gets their own individual hotpot alongside a communal grill and a buffet they select from themselves. As Host you own the guest's impression from the reservation through to the dining experience itself, handling enquiries and arranging bookings for large groups and corporate events.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Reservations
- Manage the reservation book across phone, online platforms and walk-ins
- Confirm bookings ahead of service to reduce no-shows
- Handle changes, cancellations and the waitlist
- Record dietary needs, allergens and special requests, and pass them to the kitchen and floor
Group bookings
- Handle group and corporate enquiries end to end
- Confirm headcount, timing, pricing tier and seating plan
- Brief the kitchen and floor ahead of large bookings
- Be the point of contact during the event, and follow up after
Floor service
- Greet and seat guests, and run the door through peak service
- Manage the waitlist and set honest expectations on wait times
- Work with the floor team on table turns and pacing
- Guide guests through the format, including the grill safety briefing
- Introduce JING Circle, our membership programme, and sign guests up
- Handle complaints early, and escalate when needed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience in F&B, hospitality or a customer-facing role preferred
- Organised in approach and accurate with information
- Calm and composed under pressure
- Confident handling enquiries by phone and in writing
- Clear, warm communication with guests
- Comfortable on your feet and working around hot equipment
- Available for weekends, evenings and public holidays
