We are looking for Management Trainee – Kitchen to join our Teppanyaki team. Hands-on development opportunity for individuals who are interested in Japanese cuisine, Teppanyaki cooking and kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation of ingredients, mise en place and food production.
- Learn Teppanyaki cooking techniques and food presentation standards according to standard recipes.
- Assist with stock control, inventory checks and ingredient ordering.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen.
- Work closely with chefs and kitchen team members to ensure smooth service operations.
- Assist with cost control, wastage reduction and operational improvement initiatives.
Training & Development
As a Management Trainee, you will receive hands-on exposure to different aspects of Teppanyaki kitchen operations, including:
- Teppanyaki cooking techniques
- Inventory and cost control
- Team coordination and leadership
- Staff training and development
You will progressively take on greater responsibilities as you develop your technical and leadership capabilities.
Requirements
- Candidates with no relevant kitchen experience are welcome to apply (Training provided)
- Passionate about cooking and interested in developing a career in the F&B industry.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude with strong learning and leadership potential.
- Responsible, organised and willing to work hands-on.
- Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
