Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Qualifications: Conduct regular supplier audits, risk assessments, and production part approval processes (PPAP) to evaluate manufacturing capabilities.
- Issue Resolution: Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) with suppliers when incoming material defects occur.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor supplier quality metrics (e.g., DPPM, SCAR response times) and issue monthly quality scorecards.
- Continuous Improvement: Partner with vendors on continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma) to improve yield and reduce incoming material variability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Review engineering specifications with design teams to ensure suppliers can realistically achieve required tolerances.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or supplier auditing.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with quality tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and 8D problem-solving.
