We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our team. This position is suitable for candidates with relevant accounting experience who are willing to learn and comfortable handling day-to-day accounting and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily accounting entries and maintain accurate records in the accounting system
Handle basic bookkeeping and data entry
Assist with accounts receivable, including collections and follow-up on outstanding payments
Prepare payments through internet banking
Perform bank reconciliations
Assist in preparing debtor and creditor ageing reports
Maintain proper filing and documentation of invoices, payment records, and other accounting documents
Support the Finance team in the transition to a new ERP system
Provide general administrative support to the Finance team
Assist with other accounting duties as assigned
Requirements:
Basic knowledge of accounting principles
Prior experience using an ERP or accounting system is an advantage (experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus)
Comfortable learning and working with new systems and processes
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications
Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable with routine accounting work, data entry, and documentation
Responsible, hands-on, and willing to learn
Able to work independently as well as part of a team
