Job Summary

Manage daily accounting operations and financial records to support construction projects. Collaborate with project managers and suppliers to ensure accurate invoicing, cost monitoring, and financial reporting while maintaining compliance and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate daily accounting, bookkeeping, and financial records to support business operations
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely supplier payments and cash inflows
Prepare customer invoices and construction progress claims to facilitate billing and revenue recognition
Monitor construction project costs, budgets, and expenses to control financial performance and support project management
Process subcontractor payments and maintain detailed project cost records for financial tracking
Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and monitor cash flow to support financial decision-making
Organize and maintain proper accounting documents and records to ensure compliance and audit readiness
Coordinate accounting matters with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve discrepancies and improve financial accuracy
Support audit preparation by compiling necessary financial documentation and reports

Required competencies and certifications

Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel to perform accounting tasks efficiently
Knowledge of bookkeeping, project costing, and financial reporting to support construction industry accounting needs

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Relevant accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry, to enhance role effectiveness
Strong communication and coordination skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Responsible, organized, and detail-oriented work approach with the ability to work independently
