Job Description

The Site Supervision Officers’ duties shall also include but not limited to the following:

Conduct regular checks on materials received and dispatched from suppliers’ stockyards to ensure they meet contract requirements and quality standards.
Conduct material sampling with suppliers and arrange for samples to be sent to approved laboratories for testing.
Check and compile shipping and supporting documents, including permits, Bills of Lading and cargo clearance documents.
Prepare and update the monthly shipment schedule for all material suppliers.
Report any shipment delays, irregularities or source-related issues to the Project Manager and/or SO Representative.
Monitor and update the required contingency stock level at suppliers’ stockyards daily.
Conduct and record regular moisture content checks as required under the supply contract.
Ensure accurate weight records are maintained in the sales system and prevent unauthorised manual entries or system tampering.
Monitor suppliers’ daily material deliveries and follow up on any delays or shortfalls against the contractors’ orders.
Prepare and submit daily site status reports and other required reports to the Project Manager.
Conduct regular audits of suppliers’ sales procedures, sales systems, weighbridge calibration and delivery vehicles, and report any non-compliance.
Collect and manage daily delivery orders and relevant documents from HDB material suppliers.
Review material test reports and follow up on rejected or non-conforming materials.
Ensure all supply and work activities comply with the contract specifications and requirements.

Job Requirements:

Shall possess a NITEC with at least one year of relevant working experience in the building materials supply industry; and possess good command of written and spoken English.
