Stock counting

  • Carry out daily cycle counts and scheduled full stock takes.
  • Check physical stock against the warehouse management system (WMS) or inventory records.

Discrepancy reporting

  • Investigate variances between physical and system stock.
  • Prepare clear discrepancy reports with quantities, SKUs, locations and likely causes.
  • Follow up on corrective actions and update records once resolved.

Picking and packing

  • Pick orders accurately from pick lists or handheld scanners.
  • Meet daily dispatch cut-off times and accuracy targets.

Cargo inspection

  • Inspect inbound shipments against purchase orders, delivery orders and packing lists.
  • Check outbound cargo for correct quantity, condition and labelling before dispatch.
