- Prepare and organise mise en place efficiently by ensuring ingredients, production batches, and workstations are ready for smooth daily operations.
- Prepare a wide variety of ingredients and dishes while consistently maintaining high standards of taste, quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Support daily kitchen production to ensure food items are prepared accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner to meet operational requirements.
- Monitor the quality and freshness of all ingredients and finished products, ensuring exceptional food quality is maintained at all times.
- Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, checking ingredient quality, and coordinating replenishment to minimise waste and prevent shortages.
- Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards, ensuring proper food handling, storage, and a clean working environment.
- Identify opportunities to improve kitchen workflows and production processes, contributing to greater operational efficiency and productivity.
- Mentor, guide, and support junior kitchen team members, fostering a collaborative, positive, and high-performing kitchen culture.
