School Canteen Team Leader

Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily food service operations, including food serving, cashiering, and maintaining cleanliness of the stall/canteen area
- Handle cashiering duties, including accurate transaction processing, end-of-day closing, and ensuring proper reconciliation of sales
- Perform daily closing procedures and be responsible for depositing cash collections at the bank after closing
- Provide guidance and on-the-job training to new or junior staff, ensuring adherence to service standards and proper food handling practices
- Act as a team leader/senior crew member to ensure smooth and efficient operations, especially during peak hours
- Monitor food quality, hygiene, and safety standards in compliance with NEA and school regulations
- Escalate operational issues such as customer feedback, staffing shortages, or service concerns to the Supervisor or School Management in a timely manner
- Prepare and submit daily reports on operational issues, incidents, and performance, and handle ad hoc tasks as assigned
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall efficiency of canteen operations
Requirements:
- Able to start work as early as 6:00 AM
- Possess valid Food Safety Level 1 certification
- Prior experience in F&B or canteen operations is an advantage
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic numeracy skills for cashiering and cash handling
