Technician / Engineer (Hospitality/Electrical)
Location: Central
Job Type: Shift hours with allowance
Working hours: 3 shifts starting from 7am
Salary: $3150-3500
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, corrective, breakdown maintenance on electrical systems, equipment.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair electrical faults in guest rooms, public areas, facilities.
- Maintain & service electrical panels, lighting systems, power distribution, generators, UPS, emergency lighting.
- Ensure smooth operation of HVAC, pumps, motors, electromechanical equipment.
- Conduct daily facility inspections, promptly rectify defects to minimize downtime.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests, equipment failures in a timely manner.
- Monitor building systems, utilities to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Carry out routine testing of fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and other life safety systems.
- Assist with installation, modification, commissioning of new electrical equipment and systems.
- Coordinate with external contractors, vendors during maintenance, repairs, project work.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, logs, cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, workplace safety regulations, hotel operating standards.
- Assist engineering team(mechanical, plumbing, civil) when required.
- Ensure guest requests related to engineering or maintenance are handled professionally, efficiently.
- Report on recurring equipment issues, recommend corrective actions.
- Follow hotel policies, SOPs
Requirements
- Minimum certified ITE/Diploma/alternative education in electrical/mechanical engineering
- Good troubleshooting, problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team.
- Able to work under stress, tight schedule, multi tasks.
- Good interpersonal, communication skills.
- Experience in the hospitality / service industry is preferred.
- Able to start work immediately or within short notice period.
