Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to manage daily purchasing activities, supplier coordination, and procurement processes. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation and organizational skills, with a focus on quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. Prior experience in the F&B industry will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and purchase food, beverages, packaging, kitchen supplies, and operating supplies.
- Obtain and compare supplier quotations to achieve competitive pricing.
- Monitor food costs, pricing, and purchasing budgets.
- Ensure products meet required quality, freshness, specifications, and food safety standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and correct quantities.
- Monitor stock levels and support outlets/central kitchen teams with replenishment requirements.
- Maintain good relationships with suppliers and negotiate prices and payment terms.
- Check deliveries for quantity, quality, expiry dates, and damages.
- Process purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing records.
- Coordinate with Central Kitchen, Operations, Warehouse, and Finance teams.
- Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving and alternative sourcing opportunities.
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and food safety requirements.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in F&B or food distribution.
- Knowledge of food products, suppliers, and market pricing.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Good understanding of inventory and food cost control.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP purchasing systems.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Required to travel to and provide support at various outlets, as needed
