Coordinate and complete opening and closing duties to meet operational standards before service begins
Plan daily outlet operations in the absence of the Manager to ensure smooth workflow
Supervise junior team members and casual labour to ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks
Take and record restaurant reservations and cancellations, reconfirming bookings via phone or email daily
Take food and beverage orders accurately according to guest preferences
Deliver food and beverage services following departmental standards and procedures
Serve all food and beverages according to established service standards
Promote and upsell food and beverage offers to maximize sales revenue and cross-sell other dining venues when the outlet is full
Apply hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP) to maintain compliance
Ensure adequate supply of materials and equipment to support smooth department operations
Handle guest complaints and comments tactfully and efficiently, reporting incidents to management
Supervise and assist in assigned workstations and oversee outlet operations when management is absent
Support other Food & Beverage outlets during peak times or as needed
Inspect outlet and back-of-house cleanliness to ensure compliance with sanitation and hygiene regulations
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all food and beverage services, menu contents, preparation methods, and hotel features
Follow proper purchasing and requisitioning procedures to maintain inventory control
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity
Additional certification(s) in Food & Beverage will be an advantage
