Based at the Pasir Panjang PSA Terminal, the Operations Officer will be responsible for supervising vessel and shore cargo operations at Pasir Panjang Port / Jurong Port, ensuring all activities are carried out smoothly and safely at the quickest possible turn-around time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising daily cargo handling operations, including, terminal activities.
- Collaborating with workers to ensure efficient dispatch and uphold vessel and cargo operations safety standards.
- Identifying and resolving operational issues by working with workers, and authorities.
- Monitoring vessel activities, addressing any challenges to maintain smooth and secure operations.
- Provide on-the-job training to stevedores and suppliers to maintain high cargo safety and quality standards.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Must be experienced working in Port.
- Strong knowledge in vessel operations, cargo handling, and logistics procedures. (Port & Terminal Operations)
- Cargo Operations Supervision
- Stevedore management & SOP compliance.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in cargo or port operations.
- Ability to lift heavy stuff and stand for prolonged hours.
- You will be required to work long and irregular hours including late night, weekends and public holiday.
