Cafe Mary Grace is a beloved Filipino café known for its warm, homey flavors and heartfelt hospitality. As we grow our Singapore presence, we're looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking PT Commis Cook to join our kitchen team.
The Role
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their culinary career to learn, grow, and be part of a kitchen that genuinely cares about good food. You'll support our chefs across various stations and learn the ropes of working well in a kitchen!
What You'll Do
- Assist across kitchen stations during prep and service
- Prepare ingredients, sauces, and components to recipe specifications
- Maintain station cleanliness, mise en place, and food safety standards
- Handle stock rotation, labelling, and basic inventory tasks
- Follow the direction of senior kitchen staff and take on new techniques eagerly
What We're Looking For
- Some prior experience in a professional kitchen (internship or part-time experience welcome)
- A willingness to learn and a positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
- Possess excellent communication skills and is a good team player
- A basic understanding of quality control — checking ingredients for freshness, ensuring consistent portion sizes, and flagging anything that doesn't meet standard before it reaches the pass
- Able to commit at least 4 days a week, and able to work longer shifts as well
